The VZLyze Business tier: what $49 pay-as-you-go buys you

Business is a $49 pay-as-you-go credit pack — you buy it once, use it at your own pace, and top up when credits run low. That structure raises reasonable questions. Why is it more than Pro's price? What's stopping someone from buying Business, using it all in a week, and asking for a refund? What are you paying for that Pro doesn't already give you?

This article is a plain-language answer to all of that. It's not a sales page; it's the reasoning behind the numbers so you can decide whether Business is right for you or whether Pro at $21.99 is the better fit.

The one feature Pro doesn't get: Compare Screenshots

Compare is the flagship Business feature and the reason the tier exists as a separate SKU. It takes two screenshots at once and returns a side-by-side analysis: differences, strengths, weaknesses, and a real recommendation at the end. Product A vs product B. Your landing page vs a competitor's. Version 1 vs version 2. Any question that starts with "which of these two is better" is a Compare question.

Compare used to have a Free-tier trial, one run per new account. That was removed at the end of June 2026. The trial existed to let people evaluate the feature before paying, but in practice it burned expensive API calls on visitors who had no intent to convert, and it complicated the mental model of who gets what. Now Compare is Business-only, no exceptions, and the tier is priced to reflect that this feature costs real money to run per call.

If Compare isn't a workflow you'd use, Business probably isn't the right choice. Pro gives you everything else. The full Compare walkthrough is a good sanity-check read before upgrading: if the examples match how you already work, Business will feel like a discount rather than an upsell.

The credit math: 159 vs 99

Pro comes with 99 Deep credits. Business comes with 159 Deep credits. Both credit pools are the same thing under the hood: one credit spent per Research Mission, Debug UI run, Compare, Anonymize, Handwriting OCR, or Extract Table. There is no separate "Business credit" that behaves differently from a "Pro credit." The pool is just larger.

Two things about that table are worth calling out.

First, both Pro and Business credits sit in your account until you spend them — no monthly reset, no expiry. Business just gives you a larger pool (159 vs 99) so you can do more before topping up.

Second, both tiers have refill packs. Pro's stacked refills are Deep credits that don't expire. Business's refill (business_refill40) adds 40 credits for $19.99. Refill purchases stack additively: buy two, get 80 credits added on top of whatever balance you already have.

Why Business is priced higher

Business costs $49 for 159 Deep credits. Pro costs $21.99 for 99 Deep credits. On a per-credit basis Pro is actually cheaper — roughly $0.22 per credit versus $0.31 on Business. The Business premium buys two things: access to Compare Screenshots, which Pro does not include, and a larger single-purchase credit pool so you're topping up less often. If Compare is part of your regular workflow, or you'd rather buy once at $49 than repurchase Pro several times, Business fits. If you never use Compare and don't mind the smaller pool, Pro is the better value per credit.

One practical note: when your Business balance hits zero, Vzlyze doesn't downgrade you to Free. Your Business plan status stays intact for local features (Scan Code, Extract Text, capture, editor), but every API feature returns a "no credits remaining" error until you top up. Refills are a one-click purchase from the popup.

Who Business is for

Business is priced and designed around four specific workflows. If one of them is your daily reality, Business is a good fit. If none are, Pro or Starter is probably the smarter buy.

• Competitive research. You screenshot a competitor's landing page and want it compared to yours. You do this once or twice a week during positioning work, less during BAU.
• Product due diligence. You're evaluating two SaaS tools, two hardware options, two vendors, two contracts. Compare gives you a structured pro/con with a recommendation, which is faster than writing your own scoring rubric.
• Investor and stakeholder prep. You're building a deck or a memo that involves showing "here's what we ship vs what they ship" or "here's before vs after." Compare's output is meant to be paste-ready into that kind of document.
• Design and UX review. Debug UI on one screenshot plus Compare on the before/after screenshots gives you a two-pass audit: what's wrong with each, then what's different between them.

What you don't get by upgrading

Being honest about what's not different between Pro and Business helps you decide correctly:

The AI models are the same. Business doesn't run on a bigger or smarter model. Both tiers use the same Claude endpoints for Research Missions and Compare. The quality of the output is identical per credit spent; the tier only changes what modes are unlocked and how many credits you get.

Local features are the same. Capture, annotation editor, PDF export, clipboard, Extract Text (Tesseract OCR), Scan Code (ZXing), share links, GDPR export, and account deletion are all identical across Starter, Pro, and Business.

Support is the same. There is no dedicated Business support channel. Everyone uses [email protected]. We keep it simple because the team is small and we'd rather answer everybody promptly than tier the queue.

Refunds work identically. Both Pro and Business are refundable within 14 days per our refund policy. Paddle (our merchant of record) handles the mechanics for both.
